Description:
The trip lasts four days and the fun already starts from leaving Bucharest. In the evening we catch the sunset in Cazanele Dunarii, have dinner and sit on the waterfront. The next day we start on the SUP downstream on the Danube with sailing breaks at hidden caves. After finishing the tour, we eat and go to Cheile Nerei, where we sleep for two nights. Day three is full of adventure because we cross the river Nera on the SUP, and in the evening we catch the lazy sunset from the peaks of the Cheile Nerei – Beușnița National Park. On the last day we had breakfast and set off on a road trip through Defileul Dunarii on the light on the way home.

Presentation:
Our weekend foray into the wildest places in Romania continues in Banat Montan! We start by exploring the majestic Danube Boilers, caves and museums along this path. Here, the banks of the Danube become almost vertical walls, which narrows the river so much that the water depth exceeds 100 m. Last day, we made SUP in the place where Nera formed the most beautiful gorge in the Carpathians, we visited the Beiusnita waterfall, and, if we have enough time left, we also reach the Bigar waterfall!
Location:
We start friday directly on the Danube, with a course in a quiet estuary, and in the evening we spend the night near the Danube. On Saturday morning we start exploring the Danube gorge – about 12 km. On Saturday night we spend the night near Nera and on Sunday morning we explore the Nera Gorges on a section of about 6 km, then visit the Beiusnita and Bigar waterfalls. We arrive in Bucharest by the evening.
Stand up Paddle:
This trip is for the beginners who have already practiced Stand Up Paddle and know how to keep their balance, swing and return the plate. Although we will be accompanied on the Danube by a boat, we will take a SUP and River SUP course in the first evening, in order to increase the safety and ease our communication in expeditions. The form in which we practice SUP on the Danube is exploratory in speed, and because of the high river flow we will be permanently moving. In the Nera Gorges, the SUP form is relaxing, with portions of the River SUP and, depending on the flow, on some short portions we get off the plate to pass the small water.

Being a snowboard passionate, I began to surf in 2011 in Tenerife, Canary islands, where I met Dan Gheorghe, the man who inspired me the taste for the waves and my motivation in teaching what the joy of surf means is to see my students as happy as I am when the achieve what they aim. Since 2012 I began to teach surf classes on the artificial wave from Divertiland in Bucharest, then I travelled to the most beautiful surf places in the world where I initiated the trips that we now organize at Sup Academy Romania. Now I`m teaching surf and Sup classes in my country, Romania, during the summer and starting from September I follow the summer around the world teaching myself and other how to surf until the month of May.
Being close to water is the ideal life for me and best thing I can do is to teach someone to relax, to live healthier and to know himself better.

Take a break – Discover – Experiment
We explore nature and alternate the rhythm, so that on the last day we make river SUP among the Nera Gorges, surrounded by forests and rocky mountains, but do not be afraid, it is an easy form in which there are only fast portions, most of the route relaxing paddling.
When?
The expedition is organized in the last weekends of May and June, and lasts 3 days, from Friday morning to Sunday evening. We leave from Bucharest with the van, and the activities last about 2 hours – the course on Friday evening, and around 4 hours – on Saturday and Sunday.
Where?
In Banat Mountains, at the Keys of Nera and the Danube Boilers.
How?

Stand up Paddle in Romania:
This trip is for the beginners who have already practiced Stand Up Paddle and know how to keep their balance, swing and return the plate. We will do friday evening a recap course in which we come up with new elements of the River SUP. We will be accompanied by a boat on both the Danube and Nera and we will have all the protective equipment with us (vests, helmets).
